My Bio

My name is Sam. I'm a self-proclaimed bibliophile and coffee addict who's been struck with wanderlust. Similar to many of us in the literary community, my writing journey began young. I was a 7-year-old girl sketching my dreams in a notebook and crafting stories with my pen. I was a Stephen King wannabe at 12 years old. I've dabbled around in various writing forums and websites/communities over the years. Now, more than a decade later, I'm rediscovering my passion.

“The mind of a writer can be a truly terrifying thing. Isolated, neurotic, caffeine-addled, crippled by procrastination and consumed by feelings of panic, self-loathing and soul-crushing inadequacy. And that’s on a good day.”

Happy Birthday!
Happy Early Birthday wishes to you this Friday Samatha my dear and may it be a most wonderful one!
You look to be the lady to ask about literature! I'm embarrassingly new to the DA Literary world (I messed up categories for my poems, I was very confused, but they are fixed now!)

Do you think as a writer and a DA member that it would be important for visual poets to also submit a text format, so that they can harmonize well with the DA Lit crowd?

I ask this because of my visual poems. I have found a few general and specialized groups that accept visual poetry, but not too many are as active as formal literary groups such as yours the Authors-Club.

Simply trying to understand the subculture and not make any more mistakes.
